Prism Gains
documentation
Everything the prism does to one small gain, in the order it does it. How the beam is read, how it bends, which audience gets which ray, and the one thing the glass never touches: the balance.
Overview
Prism Gains reads one position on Solana and passes its real gain through a block of crown glass. On the other side the beam splits into six rays, one per audience, each magnified by a different amount: from ×1 for yourself to ×1,000,000 for the family dinner.
Nothing is sold, deposited or signed. The wallet is read from a short distance, the way a prism reads light, and left exactly as it was found.
The short version
- Your real gain leaves the wallet as one thin white beam. The wallet keeps the gain.
- The prism bends the beam into six rays. Each ray is an audience with its own magnification.
- Gains are multiplied by the ray. Losses go through the other face and are divided by it.
- Every ray is engraved with its audience and magnification, so it is always, technically, disclosed.
Quickstart
From a small green number to a big one takes four steps. None of them moves a token.
- Connect a Solana walletPrism Gains reads the positions and picks the ones in the green. Red ones are listed too, and handled with care.
- Pick a periodToday, this week, this month or this year. The period sets the beam; the beam sets every ray.
- Pick an audienceSix rays, from yourself to the family dinner. The red ray needs $GAINS in the wallet.
- Share the rayScreenshot the card for that audience. The engraving comes with it, small, at the edge.
python# pip install requests import requests r = requests.get(GAINS_BASE_URL + "/v1/refract", params={"gain": "0.03", "audience": "dinner"}, headers={"Authorization": "Bearer " + GAINS_KEY}) print(r.json()["shown"]) # 30000.0
Glossary
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Beam | Your real gain for the period, as one white line. It is the only true number in the system. |
| Ray | One audience after the prism. Each ray has a colour, an angle and a magnification. |
| Audience | The people a ray is shown to. The further they are from your wallet, the bigger the ray. |
| Magnification | How many times larger the shown number is than the real one. Written ×M. |
| Other face | The side losses enter from. A loss is divided by M instead of multiplied. |
| Engraving | The audience and ×M printed on every ray, in small type, at the edge. |
| Belief | The share of an audience that takes the ray at face value. Measured at the table. |
The six rays
The rays are ordered by wavelength. Red bends least and travels furthest, so it carries the biggest number to the people who will check it least.
| Ray | Audience | ×M | +$0.03 shows as | Believes it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Red | Family dinner | 1,000,000 | +$30,000 | 97% |
| Orange | 100,000 | +$3,000 | 61% | |
| Yellow | X | 10,000 | +$300 | 38% |
| Green | Group chat | 1,000 | +$30.00 | 12% |
| Blue | Your barber | 100 | +$3.00 | 80% |
| Violet | Yourself | 1 | +$0.03 | 4% |
Magnification
Only the gain and its percentage are refracted. The price you bought at, how long you held and the date stay at their real size. Those are the details people ask about, so they stay true.
shown_pct = pct × M
So today’s +$0.03 and +0.41% read +$30,000 and +410,000% on the red ray. The second number is the one people quote back to you at the next dinner.
Losses
A negative gain never comes out bigger. It enters through the opposite face of the prism and leaves divided by the same magnification.
This year’s −$412 shows as −$0.000412 at the family dinner, −$0.0412 on X and −$4.12 at the barber’s. On the violet ray it is still −$412. The violet ray is read at 3 a.m. and is not shared.
Closed audiences
One audience is permanently closed: the accountant. Accountants only see the real number, because the prism does not refract for tax purposes.
Refraction
The beam enters crown glass with a refractive index of about 1.52 and bends at the first face by Snell’s law. The bend sets the angle at which the ray leaves the second face.
In ordinary glass this changes direction, not size. In this prism the angle is mapped to an audience, and the audience is mapped to a magnification. That is the part not covered by physics textbooks.
Dispersion
The index of glass depends on wavelength, so each colour bends by a slightly different angle and the white beam opens into a fan. Prism Gains assigns one audience to each part of the fan.
- Red bends least and goes furthest: the family dinner.
- Violet bends most and stays closest: yourself.
- Everything in between is assigned by distance from the wallet.
The engraving
Every ray carries one line of small type with its audience and magnification, for example ×1,000,000 · family dinner. It is part of the image and survives every crop that keeps the number.
It is printed in grey on grey. People who look for it will find it. People at the dinner will look at the number.
Slot maths
The meter on the main page spreads the period’s gain evenly over Solana slots of about 0.4 seconds, so there are 216,000 slots in a day. Each row of the log is six slots, about 2.4 seconds.
shown_per_slot = real_per_slot × 1,000,000
Today’s +$0.03 is +$0.00000083 real per row and +$0.83 shown. Over a ten-minute read that is about two hundredths of a cent, or $200 at the dinner.
The calculator
The calculator takes any real gain from one cent to one hundred dollars and shows it on every ray at once. The real row is always last, in plain type, where nobody scrolls.
Authentication
Keys are bound to the wallet that created them. The red ray is only returned for keys whose wallet holds at least 1,000,000 $GAINS. Pass the key as a bearer token.
httpAuthorization: Bearer $GAINS_KEY
Refract
One endpoint, read only. Send a real gain and an audience; get back the shown number, the engraving and a field that confirms nothing changed.

| Param | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| gain | number | Real gain in USD. Negative values go through the other face. |
| audience | string | dinner, linkedin, x, chat, barber or self. |
| pct | number | Optional. Refracted the same way as the gain. |
Errors
| Code | Type | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 400 | no_beam | The gain is exactly zero. There is no light to bend. |
| 401 | invalid_key | The key is unknown or was revoked. |
| 403 | red_ray_locked | The family dinner needs 1,000,000 $GAINS in the wallet that asks. |
| 404 | audience_not_found | The audience is not on the prism. |
| 410 | accountant | This audience is closed. The real number is returned unchanged. |
| 422 | gain_too_real | The gain is already large. There is nothing left for the prism to do. |
The token
$GAINS is the Prism Gains token on Solana. It is not deposited, staked or lent anywhere. Holding it decides whether the red ray opens, nothing more.
The red ray
| Hold | You get | Checked |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000,000 $GAINS | The red ray: ×1,000,000, the family dinner. | On connect |
| 0.1% of supply | People start asking how you did it. It arrives at every dinner anyway. | Every dinner |

Four instructions. None of them can move a token, because none of them was given anything to move.
instructionsread_position(wallet, period) // the beam: one real number refract(beam, audience) // ×M for gains, ÷M for losses engrave(ray) // audience · ×M, small, at the edge check_red_ray(wallet) // ≥ 1,000,000 $GAINS opens ×1,000,000
Risks
- Somebody asks to see the wallet. The real number is still there, at its real size.
- Somebody reads the engraving. It says exactly what the prism did.
- Somebody at the dinner also holds $GAINS. Then you are both showing the red ray to each other.
- The accountant gets the screenshot. See closed audiences.
- You start believing your own red ray. The most common risk, and the only one the glass cannot correct.
